Cassandra, daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy, was bestowed with the gift of prophecy by Apollo. However, angered by her rejection of his advances, Apollo cursed her so that her prophecies would always be true but never believed. Throughout the Trojan War, Cassandra prophesied the fall of Troy, warned against accepting the Trojan horse, and predicted Agamemnon’s death. But her warnings were consistently disregarded, dismissed as madness or hysteria. After the Greeks conquered Troy, Cassandra was dragged from the temple of Athena by Ajax the Lesser and raped. As spoils of war, she was then awarded to Agamemnon, the leader of the Greek army.

What a story, right? Imagine that you can see the impending doom and unable to change the fate. That is not a distant memory for most of the Turks though… In our last election (14th and 28th of May, 2023) we were warned by a nut job, he told us the dementia-ridden bastard would lose the final stand and do you know what most of us -including me- did? We laughed at him. We made fun of his delusions and when we realized that he was right all along it was too late. We hit the iceberg and the fate of our already sinking ship was sealed. It is my biggest regret in my entire life and I can’t do anything about it.

Now I’m quickly getting to the point. Today I want to write about the lack of vision in an entire country and and indispensable consequences of that.

Dear reader, do you know what Ottomans called Peter the Great? The saviour of the Russians… Any guesses? No? THEY CALLED HIM PETER THE INSANE. They call the guy who transformed Russia from a largely isolated, backward nation into a European power a lunatic. While Crazy Peter founded the Russian Academy of Sciences, they chased the concubines in the bathhouse. While Insane Peter created a navy from nothing, the ”great sky sultan”, let the navy rot at Golden Horn due to fear of a coup. They couldn’t understand the vision of a great leader back then and they couldn’t comprehend the second one even when he spoke their language and break their shackles. As you can see Ottomans were doomed to fail, it was inevitable, and finally collapsed in 1922.

Psst. Hey, you! Do you wanna know what other country is doomed to fail? Let me give you some hints, this country is ruled by thieves and has a corrupted sense of justice, things have gotten worse in the last 20 years in that country, economically ruined, the psychology of the society is broken, morally corrupted to its neck, a well-known drug port, everyone is for sale if the money is right, its people are delusional, the countries with which it has military cooperation see it as cannon fodder. Still no idea? Well, that’s a shame and if you think that you might be living on that shithole you may want to save your own skin before the inevitable happens.

As far as I observed, the citizens of that sinking ship can’t see nor feel the cold water, and If you try to warn them they might act like you are the one with a problem. Be my guest! I am not the one who is drowning. You can call me insane and adore those who tell you sweet stories. I know who you called insane and who you praised before.
